DRIVE: APPROXIMATELY 4 HOURS (150 KM)
You will arrive at the Bandaranaike International airport (CMB) where our airport representative & chauffeur guide will await you at the arrival lounge to welcome you. Once you settle with your baggage’s you will transfer to Habarana, central location for all the ancient city sites. Habarana is well known among tourists and locals alike because of the safari rides in the nearby Habarana national park which has a huge population of Elephants. Luxurious nature friendly hotels are also attracting more tourist to this unique city.

DRIVE: APPROXIMATELY 1 HOUR (46 KM) – HABARANA TO POLONNARUWA
After breakfast your journey will be headed to an UNESCO World Heritage City, Polonnaruwa. The second most ancient city in Sri Lanka and was the seat of power of many powerful kings. The city holds extremely well preserved ruins of ancient palaces and temples from several different dynasties and is known today to be one of the best planned archeological relic sites in the country. The museum, ruins and the Minneriya tank situated in close proximity presents an ideal chance for the guests to be familiar with the history and the culture of Srilanka.
After completion of the tour you will back to the hotel in Habarana.

DRIVE: APPROXIMATELY ½ AN HOUR (25 KM) – HABARANA TO DAMBULLA
After breakfast check out from the hotel, and proceed to Kandy via visiting the most magnificent of rock-temples of this island, Dambulla Rock Temple. It is a vast isolated rock mass 500 ft. high and a mile round the base. The panorama from the summit of this rock is breathtaking 350 ft. above are a series of five caves turned into shrines. The Buddhist mural paintings (covering an area of 2,100 sq. meters) are of particular importance as well as the 157 statues including a 47 foot long statue of the recumbent Buddha. The ceiling too is covered with frescoes which depict great events in the life of the Buddha, and landmarks in the history of the Sinhala people.
DRIVE: APPROXIMATELY ½ AN HOUR (25 KM) – DAMBULLA TO SIGIRIYA
After completion of Dambulla tour we are heading to Sigiriya, or as you know “The Lions Rock”. You’ll enjoy panoramic views of jungles from the palace top the rock. This fortress was a Royal Citadel for more than 18 years and the story behind it replete with legends, love and betrayals. But one story remains, the story of Kasyapa (477–495 A. D.) Its creator, King with an artist’s soul. Famous frescoes of the “Heavenly maidens” of Sigiriya and the 10 foot high Mirror Wall are few to admire.
DRIVE: APPROXIMATELY 2½ HOURS (90 KM) – SIGIRIYA TO KANDY
Next we head in to the city known as country’s cultural capital, Kandy. You will check in at your hotel to have a rest and this beautiful city in the hills is ideal for relaxing and reflecting. The City is home to the tooth relic of the Lord Buddha and it is housed in the famous ‘Dalada Maligawa’ or ‘Sacred Temple of the Tooth’, which attracts thousands to the city every year including devotees as well as visitors who come to marvel at the beautiful architecture of the temple. Kandy is also home to many other old temples and other landmarks, including the amazing Peradeniya Botanical Gardens.

DESTINATION: PINNAWALA ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE.
DRIVE: APPROXIMATELY 1 ½ HOURS (50KM) KANDY TO PINNAWALA ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE
Today after breakfast we will visit the Elephant orphanage. Thousands of tourists visit this Elephant orphanage every day, as this kind orphanage is one of the rare establishments in the World. This orphanage was set up by the wildlife department of Sri Lanka to take care of baby elephants lost or abandoned in the wild or elephants who injured by falling into pits and wells as well with gunshot injuries created by farming communities. Today there are about 65 such elephants in this orphanage. Their feeding time and daily bath in the river nearby is a must watch in this visit.
Daily feeding times – 9.15 am, 1.15 pm, and 5.00 pm.
Bathing times – 10.00 am, 2.00 pm, and 4.00 pm.
DESTINATION: NUWARA ELIYA
DRIVE: APPROXIMATELY 3 HOURS (110KM) PINNAWALA ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE TO NUWARA ELIYA
On completion, back to the road once again, but this ride will never forget as you will mesmerize by breathtaking views of valleys, meadows, mountains, waterfalls and greenery surrounded by hills and tea plantations on the way to the town of Nuwara Eliya. After you check in to the hotel rest of the day remain you to relax in coolest whether in Sri Lanka.

DRIVE: APPROXIMATELY 2 HOURS (60KM) –NUWARA ELIYA TO KITHULGALA
After breakfast we proceed to Kithulgala. Which is well known for White Water Rafting, Bird Watching, Jungle Trekking, River bathing and many more adventure activities. Kithulgala is ideal to have some fun and include adventure to the tour.
DRIVE: APPROXIMATELY 2 HOURS (60KM) – KITHULGALA TO COLOMBO
After completion head to the commercial hub Colombo and have relaxed evening prior to your departure tomorrow.
